Reuben Murray wins
the Cass art Prize 2024

Our winner has been announced! Reuben Murray is the inaugural winner of The Cass Art Prize receiving a £10,000 cash prize and a free stand at The Other Art Fair in spring 2025. His spectacular oil painting Ada was selected by our prestigious panel of judges.
The artist was inspired by Ben Enwonwu's 1974 "Mona Lisa" depicting Nigerian princess Adetutu Ademiluyi. Reuben reimagines this portrait of Ada, a Jamaican Maroon, embodying resilience and Black joy. The work is dedicated to the artist's mother Catherine.
