Antique & Collectible Auction 14th - 19th November.
Hayward’s has prepared another of our popular Vintage, Antique & Collectable timed online auctions and with 840 lots, there’s something for everyone in this sale. Bidding starts at 5:00pm Thursday November 14th with the first lots closing Tuesday the 19th at 6:00pm.
We have a great range of retro, vintage, antique and more modern items on offer – New Zealand studio pottery, uranium and depression glass, heavy art glass bowls and vases, Stuart, Waterford, Webb Corbett and other crystal, brass candlesticks and vases, copper ware, a lovely set of antique post office scales, deed boxes, carved stone animals, a pair of foo dogs, figurines, Sylvac dogs, book-ends, squirrel handled jug and turtle shaped lidded trinket, Royal Doulton, Wedgwood and Hutschenreuther dinnerware and a large lot of stoneware dining items featuring the Dunedin city coat of arms.
Royal Albert, Moorcroft and other fine china tea ware, a Satsuma tea set, McAlpine and Westinghouse refrigerator jugs, sterling silver tea set, cutlery, dressing table ware, vases, cigarette cases, silver, gold, and precious stone jewellery, furs and handbags, an ornate Japanese wedding coat, Mont Blanc pen and pencil set, Wenger, Tag-Heuer and Seiko wristwatches, Whites Aviation and other vintage scenic photographs, framed prints, watercolours, oils and acrylic paintings, hand woven wool wall hanging, wool carpet pieces and Persian style floor rugs, fishing reels, rods and accessories, Meccano, an NZR sack barrow and 1930s carriage light fitting and a NZGR locomotive jack.
Contemporary 3-piece brown leather lounge suite, Victorian and Edwardian dining, lounge and nursing chairs, beech and mahogany dining tables, flame mahogany wardrobe and arts & crafts oak wardrobe, display cabinet and dining chairs, colonial rimu dresser with bevelled edge mirror and kauri 5-drawer chest, late Georgian country oak drop-front desk and other drop front desks, vintage and reproduction display cabinets, bookshelves, a large vintage shop display cabinet on long table base, and a very nice antique long-case clock by William Maggs of Axbridge.
You’ll also fine a table made from vintage industrial heavy cast iron base, an impressive carved hardwood Indian entrance door and frame, and an assortment of cast concrete garden urns, bird baths and garden ornaments, cast alloy outdoor and Lusty Lloyd Loom table & chairs ,a retro style ball chair, lip chair, kitchen step-stool, rimu plan drawers, a large 60-drawer library card chest with pull-out writing slides, and a vintage metal chest of A4 file drawers and a lot of other quality solid timber chairs, chests, cabinets and tables.
Vintage typewriter, gramophone, a portable or ship’s harmonium and a cool 1960s made-in-NZ Commodore electric guitar that could both use some TLC, a cased Hohner Polyphonia triple harmonica. Die-cast model vehicles from Corgi, Solido, Maisto, Oxford and Matchbox, model ship, pond yacht, and a very cool Vitascope ship clock with animated sailing ship and illuminated sky.
