problem with find and replace

I've got about 170 uses of the word Sandhill crane in one doc. I am
trying to change to sandhill crane (no caps), but find and replace will
not do it. I tried replacing "Sandhill crane" with "custard" and then
replacing "custard" with "sandhill crane" but no go. Each time it tells
me it's made the replacements but ...

list numbering does NOT continue from previous table??????

I have 2 tables separated by a hard page break.
first table has 3 columns, with first column being a numbered list.
2nd table has 6 columns, and I want the first column to be a numbered
list continuing from the previous table.

I wonder if there is a quick and easy way to reduce the size (so the
font size I suppose) of all blank lines in a word document? I.e. at the
moment all blank lines are the same size as the rest of the document -

Insert multiple HTML files into one word DOC

need to insert hte html files into a word document. The html files are
named using letters and a sequential numbering sequence.
I don't want to use the File > Insert dialog for each insertion. Is
