I have been using the Fixit offered in connection with Article kb 324757
every 4 or 5 boots to keep my Canon MP450 printer operational. Fixit does
the job but has little durability. Today it got out of hand and turned off
the ink! The printer would run following Fixit and even feed the paper

command line print issue

hi there.
using xp pro sp3 32bit and trying to print from cmd. i used "print
/d:\\[computer]\[printer] [filename]" for the printer (which is set up
for sharing), but xp only tells me that the printer couldn't be
initialized. printer (magicolor 2350) is connected via usb. on other
machines the command complete ...

Windows FAX File Save question

IS it possible to change the default filename prefix for auto saved faxes in
Windows Fax?????
For example i want every fax i save as tif to get a name like
MyFax.tif instead of Faxxxx.tif
I want Windows Fax to have that default file name for all the faxes that are
saved in my pc ...

Printjob gets cancelled after 60 seconds

We are working on a printing solution, which has to print large files, like
PDF's of 400+ pages. It's not unlikely that six clients are printing at the
same time. The problem is that the print spooler cancels each job after 60
seconds. when six clients are connected at the same time, printing the PDF's

print-outs are too dark

When I look at a JPEG image on the screen, it looks just fine. Bit when I
print it, the image is too dark. I have tryed other JPEG images but the
result is the same. Any help is appreciated.

Printing from DOS

It dawned on me ! I had to do "use net lpt1: /d" and got the response
lpt1: deleted.
Then tried to set bowwow With "net use lpt1: \\otto\bowwow
/persistent:yes" and it worked. The command completed successfull and to
prove it, i successfully printed something from the DOS program.
