Hi: Something strange happened earlier and here it is. Note that it fixed itself I guess. Dont know. Please read I have Internet explorer 8 sp2 windows XP home edition. All of a sudden my teen told me the Laptop screen got black while using it and would not even turn off. I took out battery and hooked up the LT to the power source only, turned it on and I got a black screen with white letters and just clicked enter and then windows started up good.....except for one important thing.... I couldn't log into the Internet using IE8... I was NOT even able to send this post in outlook express, only my yahoo messenger was working. but anything that has to do with using the browser, no luck. I dont have firefox so I couldn't use that browser. Something else that may or may not pertain to this. When I clicked on 'start' then 'programs, I see most of my programs highlighted in peach. the rest are white like they always were. I did not even know that they could be highlighted in peach. And it did say that a new program was installed; last thing on the program list was "windows live ". Even now that my prob got fixed, the list remains partially highlighted I peach color. What happened? thanks PS: Things I did were ccrap cleaner and ad-aware cleaning. Nothing major was found and even after I did those things it did not work.
NOTE: this morning, all normal..even the programs list in the 'start' menu, is all white again with nothing higlighted in peach. Like i said it fixed itself somehow.
