‘Gouache for St. Ives Window’, 1992, Patrick Heron
Ahead of its grand opening in 1993, Patrick Heron was invited by Tate to design a stained glass window for the entrance hall of their St. Ives gallery.
Created in 2009 by Artizan Editions for Bernard Jacobson Gallery, London, this rare silkscreen exquisitely reproduces Heron’s 1992 preparatory gouache for the colourful, abstract window that resides in his beloved county of Cornwall, where he found much of the inspiration for his highly praised, visionary body of work.
