Conceived as a sculptural object, Hormazd Narielwalla’s beautiful signed and numbered portfolio, Diamond Dolls, is based on a running motif of 36 images of David Bowie’s ‘Ziggy Stardust’ persona.
Comprising three acts, each unique collaged outfit is inspired by the Japanese gender-fluid traditions of kabuki and onnagata, which had influenced Bowie in his approach to challenging conventions about sexuality.
