Often, when you stumble on something cool—a quiet beach, the perfect neighborhood bar, the best seat on the plane—you want to keep it to yourself. The absolute worst is when your favorite hangout gets a write-up in the local newspaper and it’s flooded with looky-loos, ruining the atmosphere and killing what you liked about it.
But a place with good deals? That can work the opposite way. I mean, sure, you don’t want to miss out on a six-pack of boxer briefs for cheap, so show up early and buy a set while you can, but here’s the thing—we got this deal, this cheap, because there's enough of you around that need undies.
The more of you there are, the bigger the buy gets, and so our buyers can negotiate a cheaper price. And when manufacturers and vendors hear about us clearing out a whole warehouse, we get connected to bigger and better brands and products. We’ve got a whole video about it. When we sell thousands and thousands (and, uh, thousands) of boxer briefs, it’s because we felt confident making a huge deal to buy a ton, knowing you were around to grab ‘em.
Ok, sure, it's self-serving—the more of you there are, the more money we make. I’ll let you in on a little secret: we sell things for a little bit more than we paid for them. That’s our genius business model. But it also pays off for you all—more sales means we can go with thinner margins, make each day a better deal, and get even more of you showing up.
So tell your friends. Heck, tell your enemies. Send 'em this email, or that video. The crowd you bring in may get you the next deal.
