Hi, Dave here with a late-night, last-call note:
It turns out microwave-safe stainless steel bowls are a thing. And not just any thing—they're apparently a pretty popular thing, with well over $25,000 in sales so far today. I thought I’d send out a quick note in case you’d missed how well these were doing.
I find this kind of opportunity we got pretty interesting—it seems simple, these are high-quality mixing bowls with nice air-tight lids and stainless steel interiors. So how do we have a good deal on them? I'm not 100% sure, but my guess is it’s actually because of their bonus feature:
They’re microwaveable. Not that that’s a bad thing. But it’s a distracting thing. Can stainless steel be microwaveable? It turns out yes. But now you’re distracted, thinking about that—wondering how it works—instead of realizing that they’re just nice bowls. You don’t have to microwave them if you don’t want to.
But here at Meh, we don’t get distracted, right? Hey! Hey, over here! I was saying, we don’t get distracted…
Ok, fine, we do. However, knock the price of these down from $70+ to $20, and suddenly we're a little more focused—and a thousand more sets of bowls on their way to you nice folks, whether you microwave them or not.
Meanwhile, we’ll be on the hunt for other nice things with distracting features. Let us know in the community if you find anything interesting.
