Craig Petty, one of magic's most prolific creators, has somehow already come out with one of the best tricks you'll see this year: The Big Blind.
The premise is simple but the result is powerful. The Big Blind arms you with the power to predict any named playing card with the prediction in the spectator's hand the whole time.
Take three poker chips and place them one by one in your audience member's hand. You bet them that you can guess the exact card they're thinking of, say the 4 of hearts. You throw out wild guesses that may or may not be right. That doesn't matter, because once you flip the chips over, you see that one says "4", one says "of", and the third says "hearts."
The Big Blind is easy to perform, virtually angle-proof, and really gives your spectator a completely free choice. The biggest drawback is that you won't be able to stop performing it!
