Stage-level mind reading in your pocket
Part of what makes mentalism so special is that you rarely need big showy props in order to guide a spectator through a magical experience. Start by having your spectator select a postcard, movie poster, silk, or anything that a clip can fit around. Then shuffle their selection back into the rest. You ask two audience members to hold either end of a string with clips attached, and you affix each card to a clip. Then, the spectators tug on the string and all of the postcards fall to the ground....except for the chosen card!
