Color me amazed!
In 1935, psychologist John Ridley Stroop introduced the world to the Stroop Effect. By handing participants a list of colors printed in fonts of different colors, he showed that it's harder for us to name the font color than it is to read the text.
In 2024, Mark Lemon introduced the world to Chroma, a "Stroop-idly" powerful mentalism routine disguised as one of Stroop's tests.
You hand out a card full of colors, and ask your spectator to think of one, saying you're going to test their ability to find it on the card. After they have finished, you can tell them the exact color they were thinking about!
Mark will also teach you how to build on this routine. By peppering in new details, you'll be able to reveal much more than just their chosen color.
Chroma packs this incredible punch into a package no bigger than a credit card, meaning you will always be ready to perform. Best of all, the card is designed in such a way that it's its own crib sheet, so you don't have to worry about memorization!
Chroma is available at any Murphy's Magic dealer, or you can check out with our featured dealer, Wonder & Co!
