A spectator chooses a card and it's lost in the deck. While this set up begins some of magic's oldest plots, this method of locating it is straight out of the future.
You pull out your phone to reveal a meter. Spreading out the deck, you wave the meter above it. As you scan the deck, the bars on the meter begin to increase. Naturally, you're guided toward one card. The meter displays full bars and a beeping grows more rapid. Moving away from that card, it quiets. You flip over the card that the phone detected and it perfectly matches.
