Neokyo’s services are now resuming.
Despite the incident being of a lesser scale that we imagined, our security task force deployed a wide range of backend updates to further secure the service. For more information you can read our report on X/Twitter or the community discord.
Important notes and things to consider :
- You are required to update your password before logging in.
- Your old password WILL fail, as part of the above requirement.
Regarding setting up the new password :
- The lost password form will allow you to input your account email.
After submitting the email address, an email with a link to set up your new password will be sent.
- If you do not receive the password reset email, please check your spam inbox, or your Promotion/Business tab if you are using Gmail.
- Password length and character requirements have been increased.
Regarding the service resumption :
- Access to the service might still be slow or stopped in case of DDoS attacks
- You may notice some pages failing or returning a specific error. Please kindly report those to us in the #suggestions-and-bug-reports channel of our Discord server or by email.
Please do not report pages failing from timing out due to a DDoS attack or returning a "1020 Error".
Storage :
As a reminder, we stopped the system routines adding storage invoices so that you have time to pack and ship the orders that arrived during the outage. This grace period will be slightly extended, but please do not wait too long before submitting your request. We will later communicate when storage routines resume normal operation.
Year-End schedule :
-The attack did not really impact the service warehouse operations. However, as we enter the Year-end national holidays, purchasing, packing, shipping, and customer service schedules will be slowed down or halted. You can find the full calendar in our news section.
Thank you for your understanding during this time. We look forward to resuming normal service with you.
Sincerely,
The Neokyo Team
