The winners of the 2025 Victorian Premier's Literary Awards have been announced. Winners include Fiona McFarlane's haunting novel about the reverberations of a serial killer's crimes in the lives of everyday people, Highway 13; Susan Hampton's warm and wry memoir, Anything Can Happen; Amy McQuire's searing indictment of the media's failures in reporting Indigenous affairs, Black Witness; and Jeanine Leane's resonant collection of poetry, Gawimarra Gathering. Wanda Gibson won both the children's literature award and the overall Victorian Prize for Literature for Three Dresses, and Robert Skinner was the inaugural winner of the John Clarke Prize for Humour Writing as well as taking home the people's choice award for I'd Rather Not.
